We couldn't be more excited to see Bethel Park Elementary School welcome students on the first day of school. This building was designed to keep students safe, encourage curiosity, and foster lifelong memories. Congratulations to the Bethel Park School District and the entire Bethel Park community!

Bethel Park School District celebrates the opening of a new $133 million elementary school, consolidating five schools into a modern facility for K-5 students.

As the school year kicks off, we’re taking a moment to remind schools and school districts of the importance of capital improvement projects. Maintaining the facilities where students grow and teachers educate is critical to providing a safe learning environment. Whether it’s repaving a site, replacing an aging roof, or upgrading to new mechanical systems, capital improvement projects promote long-term building health and safety for students and staff.

The new Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) organ procurement building is making great progress thanks to our construction teams and A. Martini & Company! We are proud to work with CORE and support their mission to save and heal lives through donation by helping bring this new building to their campus. The new Steel Valley Elementary School is officially open! Last week, the Steel Valley School District held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community tours to mark this major milestone for the Steel Valley community. The school was thoughtfully designed, with each space having a dignified purpose for growth, support, and learning. It was amazing to see not only the community coming together for this event, but also the support from local and state officials for this milestone. We are so proud of this project and couldn’t be happier to see the community embrace this building. Good luck to all the students and teachers for this new school year and congratulations to the entire Steel Valley community!

The Norwin School District Performing Arts Center has been featured in Education Snapshots! This renovated space completely transformed an outdated auditorium into a state-of-the-art performance hub that also functions as a flexible meeting space for classes, teacher meetings, and after-school activities. As summer comes to an end, we wish good luck to all students, teachers, and staff members! May this school year offer new insights, opportunities, and lessons learned that will help you prosper in the coming year.

Plus, we have several projects opening just in time for the 2026-27 school year, including the new Bethel Park School District and Steel Valley School District elementary schools, and the Slippery Rock Area School District high school addition and renovations. We hope these new and renovated facilities enhance your educational experience and become a home for new possibilities and memories.

With the Steel Valley Elementary School opening just around the corner, we’re looking back on all the progress and work that went into building the new school. Through all the rain, snow, sunshine, and wind, the dedicated project teams constructed an outstanding state-of-the-art facility that will deliver exceptional education for the local Homestead, Munhall and West Homestead communities. Natural light plays a vital role in creating healthier, more engaging spaces for buildings and the people who use them. Increased access to daylight can positively impact mental health, enhance cognitive performance, and improve energy efficiency throughout a building.

At DRAW Collective, we intentionally prioritize daylighting in our designs to bridge the gap between indoors and outdoors, creating spaces that foster a calming, biophilic atmosphere that enhances the overall user experience and each building’s impact. ☀️
