Preserving History. Framing Legacy.
Every home has a story. Sometimes, the most meaningful design elements are not the ones we add—they're the pieces of history that already exist within the home itself.
When our clients uncovered the original architectural blueprints of their residence, they knew they wanted to preserve them. Together, we explored how these remarkable documents could not only be protected for future generations, but also become an integral part of the home's design story.
Using archival conservation materials and museum-quality anti-reflective glass, we carefully restored and custom framed the original drawings in-house. The collection was then installed in the butler's pantry, where the vertical arrangement accentuates the room's ceiling height while transforming the blueprints into a striking focal point.
One aspect of our work that often surprises clients is that custom framing is integrated into our design process. Our background spans interior design, fine art, curatorial practice, and archival preservation, giving us a unique perspective on how art, architecture, and storytelling can enrich a home.
What began as a desire to preserve an important piece of the home's history became an opportunity to celebrate it—creating a meaningful conversation piece that connects the home's past with the way it is lived in today.
Thoughtful design is not simply about what is added to a space. It's about recognizing what is worth preserving and finding beautiful ways to tell that story.
Design, delivered as intended.
