If you’re looking to add more whimsy to your life, have you considered putting a turret on your house?

This playful renovation in Regent Square expanded the family's outdoor living space. A back porch addition and a front open-air balcony topped with a Victorian-style turret, built in place by the Shelton carpentry team, elevated the character of the home without deviating from the architectural language of the neighborhood.

Small spaces with big personalities.

This renovation moved the home gym out of a closet into its own dedicated room with big views and natural light to better reflect the owners’ active lifestyles. The art collection merges with the room itself, with a color palette pulled directly from a textile piece that homeowner picked up in India. The in-unit washer and dryer (a first for the building) are concealed behind custom cabinetry built by Shelton’s carpenters.

Around the corner, the powder room continues to show off the owners’ multicultural interests within a modest footprint. de Gournay sterling silver gilded wallpaper creates a shimmering backdrop for a fluted marble sink front from Palmer Industries and an antiquity-inspired cabinet that allows even the smallest room to become an art gallery.

Another after & before in this light and bright kitchen. These clients had the priority of capitalizing on daylight, accessibility, and showcasing their collection of ceramics and glassware throughout the apartment. The result was an eclectic combination of deeply personal memorabilia and modern programming/amenities.

A little before and after of some circulation spaces between the existing kitchen, upstairs, and new sunroom. We committed to a pecan stain on the white oak floors that we feel turned out looking 🤌🏼
