I have the pie itch….
I have decided to make a few dozen pies for Thanksgiving.

Parker county, you can pick up in Peaster or I can meet in the Weatherford area for pie pick up.

Collin County, if I have enough interest, I will make a trip to Collin County to meet for pie pick ups.

My pies will be $25 each
5 Flavor options:
*Dutch Apple
*Pecan/Chocolate Pecan
*Pumpkin
*Cherry
*Brownie

I really miss baking and want to put my apron back on for just a bit. Message me if you’d like to order. 💗💗

It’s been a while! I wanted to share a recipe I used in case anyone feels like baking. I made a delicious, fresh Strawberry Shortcake.
I followed the attached recipe.

The only changes I made - I used a food processor to mix the butter and flour and I boiled down some fresh strawberries and sugar to make a strawberry glaze to drizzle over it.

It was delicious!! Put on your apron and give it a go!
Ps. You could also make it with other berries (raspberries, blackberries, etc.)

It’s been a while!!
Today I went to a homesteader’s swap meet in Weatherford. No $ exchanged, just trading. I made some pies and cupcakes and was able to swap them for grass fed beef, Kiefer, duck eggs and some plant cuttings. I made the error of bringing my husband with me….he put the breaks on swapping for some cute baby ducks. Next time, I go alone!

I haven’t baked a pie since Thanksgiving. 😳That’s a new record for me. It was time to break the cycle!

Yesterday, while grocery shopping, I was eyeballing the pies in the bakery.
I’m a bit of a pie-snob and knew they wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as homemade. It was time to put my apron back on! I have been missing a delicious, fresh baked pie. 🥧🍎

This is a SUPER HARD POST to write.

Hooray for Pie! will be closing, as of December 1, 2023.

There are many seasons in life.

I started this gig with the hope of sharing my passion for baking and it took off and became something way bigger than I ever thought it would and that is because of all of you! I am truly amazed. There aren’t enough words to express my deepest appreciation for you all. ❤️

The time to hang up my apron has come. I need to focus on my family. My kids are at the age where they need me to be more involved in the day to day stuff (this is a different world from when I grew up). While I love baking, I love my kids a gazillion times more.

THANK YOU, TO ALL OF YOU. Your grace, words of praise and encouragement have fed me more than you will ever know. This has been an amazing season in my life. I pray you all have many amazing seasons ahead of you!

Give grace, accept love and always be kind to yourself & those around you.
