I am so proud to once again be honored with a Design Excellence award from ASID, this time for the work we did on “The Man Cave”. My team and I worked long and hard at the height of the pandemic to make this project happen on time and within budget.
The ASID Design Excellence Awards is one of the longest-standing and largest annual interior design awards programs in the nation. ASID is the oldest, largest and only multi-disciplinary professional organization for interior designers, interior design students and the manufacturers and suppliers who support the profession.
Eloise Kubli ASID Creates a Stunning Home for an Artistic Couple
Eloise Kubli ASID NICQ was an integral part of this couple’s stunning residence even before breaking ground for construction. “I was involved with the total design concept prior to the home being built,” said the award-winning interior designer. “Blending details, form, and proportion from the very beginning, we created the refined geometries and sophisticated silhouettes that make this project unique.”
The home’s sleek and spacious custom kitchen includes professional appliances and subtle high-end design details such as subway-station stainless tile and blown glass and metal lighting pendants. “The metal tiles comes to life at night, casting shimmering reflections of light,” says Kubli. “I adore mixing metal surfaces like satin nickel, bronze, brushed brass, and gold leaf”, exclaims the designer. “These metals can be combined to create all kinds of textures, from subtly muted to exotically eye catching.”

I am thrilled that we took another First Place ASID Design Excellence award for our "Ultimate Man Cave" project! My team at Collective Construction & Design brought the full force of our high-end design and contracting talents, skills, and experience to transform a vacant warehouse space without utilities into a dream retreat for a classic car and motorcycle collector. I am so proud of everyone who worked to get this job done at the height of the pandemic, when supply lines were stretched and manpower was hard to find.
The project, which my partner (and husband!) Arthur and I began in 2020 and completed in 2021, follows hurricane codes and can serve as a safe space if needed. It includes a private bedroom, bathroom and kitchen in the loft/mezzanine area, as well as a sleeping areas for guests.

"By Design", our second story in City & Shore this month! Writer Robyn Friedman shines a light on the work my team and I do to create the perfect environment for our clients:
“A designer has so many more options available to them than in the retail market,” says Eloise Kubli, an interior designer and president of Collective Construction & Design in Plantation. “There are tremendous options at all different price points with a professional.”

City & Shore magazine just published two of my projects! Here’s a look at the first one, Kitchen Chic - The Latest Trends in Kitchen Design:
“Three new trends are illustrated in the kitchen of this custom home renovation by interior designer Eloise Kubli ASID and general contractor Arthur Kubli: the extra-wide sink which allows multiple cooks to prepare together, the professional grade Wolf range, and the large island complete with a waterfall edge for drama and a finished look.”

“I really loved redesigning this exclusive foyer for clients in Boca! From the custom 'Elevate' Fine Art chandelier to the LusterStone® walls and stone slab floor insert, it was a full renovation from top to bottom. Depth and spaciousness were added by designing a coffered ceiling with LED illumination, as well as recessed high-hat lighting. Finishing touches included using faux bois painting on the elevator doors and crown molding.”

LIVING WITH ART
I'm always thrilled to be published here in SFL, and proud that my work was selected to represent what a room can become when my clients and I work together to build the design around an inspired work of art.
An original painting from Hunt Slonem's "Butterfiles" series was a determining factor in both the layout and color scheme of this family room. One of my favorite quotes by the artist is "Butterflies are a sign of growth and change." 😊

The entryways I design create a sense of arrival, of visual drama. I love to define these spaces by using compelling lighting, colors, and textures. A wall can be sculpted to appear like a waterfall, while recessed high hats and cove lighting in a coffered ceiling adds to an illusion of a spacious sky.
Another wonderful lighting technique, especially for entryways with ceilings so high that they get lost in shadow, is to use a multi-tiered crystal chandelier. Reflective surfaces are also helpful. Installing mirrors or a mirrored wall serves a dual purpose: to add light and space, and as a means to do a quick final check on one's appearance.
I like to use soft and subtle hues on walls and floors so that they become a wonderful backdrop on which to present vivid and contrasting colors via artwork, custom millwork and furniture, sculptures, and unique lamps.

Here are a few of my favorite living rooms. I feel it’s important to have a more formal space for gatherings of family and friends. It’s also a room where I love to show my clients’ artwork - where I can express their lifestyle through the ambiance I create with custom furnishings, lighting, and flooring. Equally important are the color and texture palettes I develop, and the luxurious materials I spec throughout the entire home.
