Dear Friends and Colleagues:
It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter today. Sixteen years ago I started Luce Max, Inc. as a boutique agency specializing in the decorative specification market. Due to the current conditions, I have decided to change course. Several factors have contributed to this difficult, but necessary decision.

The COVID19 pandemic has drastically changed the way business is done. The inability to personally visit and present product over the last two years has taken its toll. It was time for a change. Change is good…

I will continue to service any outstanding projects that have not yet been completed. Rest assured I will assist all of my clients in this transition.

I want to thank everyone who has supported Luce Max, Inc. over the last 16 years; it was a fabulous run.

I am excited to start a new chapter in 2022.
Stay tuned. More info will follow.

Gratitude to all. Happy New Year!
Roel A. Sosa

A landmark luxury New York hotel near Central Park, The Lowell rises 17-floors above an iconic residential neighborhood. Established in 1927, The Lowell's boutique hotel has been reimagined by London-based Architect Mark Pinney and Los Angeles-based Interior Designer Michael S. Smith into a modern, yet old-world getaway. The Lighting Design firm TDG, was brought in to create a lighting design that would bring the interiors to life and provide the timeless elegance of a private New York luxury apartment. All of the public spaces feature No. 8 Lighting's 800 LED series in various ceiling types; plaster, wood, and mirror. The minimal design of the magnetic trims disappear into the ceiling while providing subtle, warm light.

This year we started a new stage where Marcos Rioseco and Miguel Martínez took the reins of a-emotional light. With the same values and the same desire to continue designing lamps, we created the evo-lution movement. This is what Asih Janie says in this article for Home and Decor Singapore . Thanks to our distributors Sol Luminaire The Lab 2.1 for joining our movement and bringing our designs to Singapore.

FROM THE WHITE HOUSE TO YOUR HOUSE
Under the Obama Administration, White House interior designer Michael Smith asked TDG to create a lighting design for the private residence of the President and his family. This is the first time recessed lighting had ever been installed in the private residence of the White House and the ceilings would have to left intact. No. 8 Lighting recessed down lights were installed to create depth and drama while allowing artwork and table tops to be highlighted. A few years later, the fixtures were retrofitted with LED without touching the ceiling. While administrations will come and go, No. 8 Lighting will continue to illuminate America's greatest house for many years to come.

Future-Proof - to design something that will continue to be useful or successful in the future if the situation changes so it does not become obsolete.
In this case, No. 8 Lighting's 800 series is designed for future technology. This commercial project went from Halogen to LED without touching the ceiling. All technology upgrades to power module and light source were accomplished through the trim plate.
