Bathrooms are never fun to clean but there are a couple things you can do when designing the space to make them a little bit easier to keep clean!

- Use light to medium grout colors in the shower so soap scum doesn’t show as much.

- Prioritize concealed storage near your vanity area (on- counter tower cabinets and recessed medicine cabinet mirrors are great.

- Select a concealed trap toilet so dust doesn’t collect at the bottom base and it’s easier to wipe down.

- Use tiles in the back of vanity walls or a higher stone backsplash so it’s easier to wipe down.

- Use larger format tiles one the floor for less grout lines.

How are all the parents holding up this May?? I know this month is such a busy time with all the end of school year festivities, celebrations, finals, AP tests, sports and graduations! Hang in there moms, we’re almost through it!!

And if you’re especially emotional with a high school senior like me, make sure you bring extra tissues in your purse because the tears are just flowing 🥹.

Anywhoo, nothing to do with this client’s living room makeover, but May is so chaotic and busy, I thought a calming space like this could help calm your mind for a second. We reimagined the use of this room, previously a dining area and rearranged some existing furniture along with new chairs to make this once non-used space into one of the client’s most used space in the home now 🤎.

Check out the views and the k**b placement in the last slide, not sure how I feel about it…

Fun retro tile for this week’s . This was in the Jack London museum in Sonoma and this was I believe one of their home’s kitchen and dining area.

I love the views and built-ins but I think the k**b placement would drive me crazy 😁. What about you?
