Now that life is getting back to being a bit more routine, were bringing stuff back into our lives. One of those being - OUR GARDEN!

Josh offered to help with the grow pods, thankfully because I haven't had much luck with them. You'll notice what our most favorable veggies are - bell peppers, sweet onions, and cucumbers! 😊 Here's to a great growing season and there will be more planting to come!

The flow is really high and it is so exciting! Josh added four more supers to our hives, one receiving its third super! We are at unprecedented levels already and it is so amazing. We can thank the wildlife in our area to help spread white, as well as yellow clover, to areas on and around our farm along with the soy that is beginning to bloom on close crop farms.

If you're interested in pre-ordering a bottle or two please email Jenny at [email protected]. She looks forward to corresponding with you!

Josh picked up our four new nukes early this morning and got them out to our apiary. There was one nuke that he had to proceed and move it into a hive because the girls had already eaten the food they were given! Little bee piggies! 🐝🐷

He also checked on our swarm hive and they are THRIVING! Josh went ahead and put a super on it so they'll move some of their delicious honey up. He apparently told them to share that liquid gold! 😍

We're actively receiving pre-orders for honey. If you're KC local, bottles are $12 a piece. If you'll need yours shipped, for simplicity sake, they're $20 for shipping and insurance. Please email us at [email protected] for your order so we can be fair on the order of the pre-orders. Thanks!

Picture for reference, but also to show you one of our Italians working hard pollinating one of our apple trees. 🥰

We had a bit of excitement yesterday when we realized that our trees were starting to wake up and some are even starting to bloom! Yippee!!! Peach and cherry trees specifically are already blooming, and looking as beautiful as ever.

Our bees are a mix of great and loss. We have one hive that's doing amazingly well, and Josh is planning to put a super on it in a couple weeks! We are positive we lost a hive, and the third hive we are hoping is still working and building its population inside the hive box. It was too late in the day yesterday to pop the lid and see for ourselves but there were a couple in and outs as well as the orientation flights. We're hoping they're good and bounce back. We do have four additional hives on order, and we're going to be doing some work to our apiary, which we think may help to protect all of our hives from the northern winds we receive.

If you bought honey from us in the past, please make sure Jenny has your email address for pre-orders. She was over-excited last year and sent the email out a bit early. OOPS!

Lastly, you'll see a picture of our cat, Tootsie, that adopted us (yes, you read that right). She followed us all around the orchard, the apiary, and some other areas on the property. We're fairly confident she thinks she's part dog by some of her mannerisms! 😄

Please say a little prayer for all the bees in the line of this incoming Arctic blast. With the recent mid-60 temperatures we had a few days ago, our beehives along with others in the area were active and had declustered from their queen. Now with this near zero temp cold front coming, and lasting for eight or so days they're technically under attack. 🙏 Please help us in saying a prayer they stay safe! Thank you!! ❤️

Yesterday, Josh inspected the hives and found them to be in good health. Our current estimate suggests that we have between 120-160 pounds of honey, with the potential for harvesting it in two weeks, contingent on the state of the local flowers.
