Tethered in Blue

Cape Cod has always inspired much of my work, and this piece was no exception. Combining stained glass, braided copper wire, and a reclaimed dock cleat, Tethered in Blue takes inspiration from the buoys, colors, and coastline that surround us.

I'm excited to have this piece included in Cape Cod Blues at the Sandwich Art Alliance Main Gallery.

The exhibit is on view through July 28.

Piping Plover (Charadrius melodus) mounted on driftwood collected from a Cape Cod beach 🌾🌊

Piping plovers have become such a recognizable part of summer on Cape Cod, and their conservation and protection along our beaches is something especially meaningful to me.

This piece has already found a home through Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, with more currently in the works for summer.

One of my signature stained glass whale designs — reimagined as a special larger edition 🌊🐋

This handcrafted humpback is made with blue and white wispy glass, iridized clear glass, and hand-soldered detailing designed to catch the light from every angle. Inspired by the movement and texture of humpbacks off the New England coast.

This larger version measures 17" x 7" and is one of my favorite recent pieces ✨
