We’re opening the cabinet. 👀

You see the finished kitchen. The beautiful millwork. The perfectly styled room.

But what you don’t always see are the details, decisions, problem-solving and behind-the-scenes moments that make it all come together.

So, we’re changing that.

Opening the Cabinet is our new series taking you inside Sharer Design Group projects—past and present—to show you what happens behind the finished spaces.

The details you might miss.
The decisions you might not know were made.
The moments that make a project uniquely yours.

First cabinet: coming right up.

Made specifically for you.

While factory-made furniture may be less expensive, nothing compares to the character, craftsmanship, and quality of cabinetry designed specifically for your space.

Every dimension. Every material. Every detail—considered with intention.

Because bespoke isn’t simply about being custom.
It’s about creating something that couldn’t have been made for anyone else.

One last toast to summer. 🥂

As we head into the holiday weekend, we’re celebrating the final days of the season with a view from one of our favorite Northern Michigan projects—a custom butler’s pantry designed for a beautiful home on Lake Charlevoix.

Rich cabinetry, warm brass details, and a space made for entertaining create the perfect setting to raise a glass to another incredible Michigan summer.

From all of us at Sharer Design Group, we wish you a wonderful, relaxing, and safe holiday weekend.

Cheers to summer well spent. 🥂

A bathroom designed to feel like a retreat.

Warm natural wood cabinetry brings softness and character to the space, while clean-lined plumbing, oversized mirrors, and a crisp white countertop keep everything feeling fresh and modern. The freestanding tub and dramatic stone accent wall create a focal point that feels both luxurious and relaxing.

And because beautiful design should be functional, every drawer was thoughtfully designed to provide the storage this primary bathroom needs.

A balance of warmth, simplicity, and everyday luxury.

A kitchen remodel is the perfect time to think bigger—especially when it comes to your sink.

For this kitchen, we incorporated a large Kohler workstation-style sink, giving the homeowners plenty of room for prepping, washing, entertaining, and handling oversized pots and pans.

When designing a kitchen, we focus on more than just how it looks. The right sink can make a huge difference in how the kitchen functions every day.

Don’t automatically default to a standard-size sink. Think about how you live—and design accordingly.

Design inspiration is everywhere—even while on vacation.

During a recent family trip to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Justin stepped inside the iconic Baroque Lounge, a tribute to the legendary Dorothy Draper & Company, Inc. and was inspired by the fearless use of color, texture, pattern, and high-gloss finishes.

Great design doesn’t always mean playing it safe. Sometimes, the most memorable spaces come from unexpected combinations and the confidence to do something bold.

A little design inspiration from one of Michigan’s most iconic destinations. ✨

This project is a study in classic cabinetry, thoughtful proportion, and the details that make a kitchen feel truly custom.

Crisp white Sharer Cabinetry creates a quiet backdrop for the warmth of natural oak floors and walnut accents. The architectural hood anchors the range wall, while integrated storage, open shelving, and a dedicated coffee station bring function into the design without compromising the aesthetic.

At the center, a substantial island creates both workspace and gathering space—proving that a beautiful kitchen should work just as beautifully as it looks.

From the millwork details to the carefully considered hardware, every element was designed to feel intentional.

Cabinetry is architecture. The details are what make it home.

Every exceptional kitchen starts with one defining element: the cabinetry.

Cabinetry is more than storage—it establishes the architecture of the space, sets the tone for every finish, and becomes the foundation of the entire design. When thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted, it transforms a kitchen into something truly timeless.

This Harbor Springs, Michigan home showcases bespoke cabinetry with furniture-inspired detailing, rich stained finishes, elegant painted accents, and handcrafted brass inlays. Every detail was carefully considered to create a kitchen that is both functional and beautifully refined.

Quality craftsmanship isn’t just an investment in beautiful design—it’s an investment in your home for years to come.

At Sharer Design Group, we believe extraordinary remodeling projects begin with exceptional cabinetry.
