Update! My Beau is doing great and recovering from his cancer! Praise the Lord!

It’s been a hot minute since we checked in, but it is Week 28! Not quite sure how that happened but we made it!! Beau tackled his last week of chemo during Snowmageddon and we arrived in Memphis last night for follow up scans and appointments.

After a loooong day of labs, research consults, PET/CT/MRI’s/EKG/ECHO…we officially received the all clear from his oncologist.

CANCER. FREE.

There are no words to describe what it feels like to be on the other side of this nightmare so for now we will just let it sink in!

The goal for the next few weeks is to ensure his body/levels have recovered, schedule his port removal surgery, and get his butt back to living his best 13 year old life.

Much love and endless gratitude for each and every prayer, text, call, treat, drop in, etc. It has meant the world to us.

Thank God for this strong child. Thank God for our support system. Thank God for watching over us. Thank God for His healing hands❤️

Of course, it wouldn’t be right if this trip played out without a hitch…one unit of blood as a little parting gift😉

Yesterday was an unbelievable experience of family, and friends, and an entire community coming together for Beau. He nor Shawn or Tess were able to be there but Beau Soulier was present in the hearts of hundreds of people who showed up to raise money for his care and healing of his cancer. Beau is in Memphis at St Jude. There are not enough thank you’s to express how grateful I am to all the people who sweated over a HUGE pot of jambalaya or beans, the ones who baked cookies, brownies, cakes, and other sweets, the ones who scooped and served for hours, and especially the ones who have devoted their time and energy for months to do this for Beau, Shawn, Tess, Reid, Blaire, and Brooks. There is no way I can list all the people who need to be thanked. But all of you, please know, as a mother and grandmother, how incredibly grateful I am to all of you. 😘🥰😍.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes and prayers for Beau and our family. He has completed all his lab work and checks into St Jude in Memphis this evening to start his radiation and continue his chemotherapy. 😘😍🥰
