Well, here we are again!! I've often said that I make plans & God giggles, lol. Shortly after my last post outlining my plans for the summer & some fun upcoming projects, my landlady of many years announced she's painting the house I live in. OK, seems like that would dovetail nicely with my porch plans right? Except the part that she wouldn't say until several months later....that despite a multitude of promises to the contrary, she was selling. Looking back, I probably should have guessed, as she had made absolutely zero efforts towards maintenance prior to painting and suddenly she's painting the whole house. I'd been dealing with some big health issues & when I was released from the hospital at the end of July (cardiac event, sepsis, pneumonia & broken foot) I was greeted by a huge rent increase, likely to cover the cost of the house painting. I'm a disabled senior & live in a small tourist town where every affordable rental has been turned into an air B-n-B. I've also rented the same house for almost a dozen years and had no idea how much rent had gone up! My disability check is not large enough to pay rent on anything, my age & physical condition preclude return to working & there is no rental assistance available to me. So, I'm learning to live in an RV. The majority of my belongings were disposed of, It has not been a great experience so far. But I'm determined to adapt & overcome, and I welcome suggestions on organization and effective use of very limited space! ❤️
