Handmade stained glass lamp 🧡

Each piece is made by hand from start to finish, including the base. I wanted these to feel solid, intentional, and something you don’t see everywhere.

The glass gives off such a warm glow in person…it’s one of those pieces that completely changes the feel of a space once it’s on.

All bases are handmade, and different styles and color combinations are available to fit your space.

• 15% off future dome purchases with the purchase of a lamp (base + dome)

This piece is available in person locally in Port Clinton, or available for purchase on my web-store. ✨🫶🏻

Old chandeliers don’t stop shining…
they just get a second life.

This piece features a repurposed Swarovski crystal prism rescued from a vintage chandelier and paired with stained glass to create a little sunlight catcher.

When sunlight passes through the crystal, it bends and splits the light into different wavelengths, which is what creates those tiny rainbows around the room 🌈

So instead of sitting in a dusty chandelier somewhere…
this crystal still gets to do what it was made for.

Turning sunlight into magic. ✨

The good news: I made flowers.
The better news: these ones will never die on you. 😉

These tiny fused glass blooms just came out of the kiln 🌸
No watering. No sunlight. Just a little forever bouquet.

Perfect for desks, little gifts, or adding a tiny pop of color somewhere.

Glass experiment of the day 🔥

The small pieces are sheet glass.
The larger piece is five of those squares fused together in the kiln while I was playing around with thickness and testing things out.

What surprised me the most was the color shift…the same glass that looked red, pink and white before firing turned into these deeper browns and creamy neutrals after the kiln.

Glass under heat can be a little unpredictable… which is part of the fun. ✨

It’s been a minute over here… life has been busy lately.

But the glass hasn’t stopped glowing.✨

Finished this stained glass cube lamp and I’m a little obsessed with how the light moves through each piece. Every square was cut, foiled, and soldered by hand.

Still deciding if I should keep it silver or patina to copper or black. What are your thoughts?

It’s official! I’ll be heading to Vegas in April for the 2026 Glass Bead Expo ✨

I’ll be taking two classes while I’m there, and I could not be more excited.

One focuses on experimental float glass techniques — pouring, mounding, mixing, sifting — and learning how to push the material further while letting it do its thing. The other dives into fused glass fundamentals and creative ways to work with scraps and kiln processes.

I’m always trying to learn and grow as an artist, and I’m paying close attention to what feels right for the next step.

Can’t wait to bring this energy back to the studio 🫶🏻

Glass Spotlight ✨

This is one single sheet of wispy opal glass, and I’m still not over it 🤯

At first glance, this may look similar to the last spotlight—but this sheet leans more opaque. While wispy opals are translucent, some are very milky and barely let light through, while others are thinner and allow for a richer glow and deeper movement.

Depending on the light—and which side you’re looking at—it shifts from moody and stormy to soft and calm.

This is why I’m so intentional when choosing glass for custom pieces. Wispy glass has so much movement and depth, it never looks the same twice.

Swipe through and tell me you don’t see a Lake Erie foggy day 👀🌊

Studio nights lately 🤍
Cutting, foiling, stacking… waiting (impatiently) on solder thanks to the snow ❄️
This one’s becoming a lamp and I’m already obsessed with how the glass is moving.

Guess how many feet of copper foil went into this 👀

Glass Spotlight ✨

This week’s spotlight is on one of my favorite textures: wispy opal glass.
All of these photos are the same sheet — the movement you see is created inside the glass while it’s molten, so the swirls catch and bend light in totally different ways.

That’s why this type of glass changes personality depending on where it sits:
• soft + cloudy in natural light
• bold + dramatic when backlit
• warm + glowing near a window

I love using wispy glass in pieces that need movement or mood, because it feels alive. The glass is translucent, meaning it lets light pass through but in a softened, diffused way — not completely clear, not fully opaque. That’s what gives it that dreamy, shifting look.

Every angle reveals something new, which is why wispy opal is one of my go-to textures when I want a piece to feel atmospheric or emotional.

Hi! I'm Alexis 🫶

I'm a dental assistant by day, but somewhere between the shifts, balancing life, and needing a creative outlet - I fell in love with the process of stained glass.

What started as a small hobby to quiet my brain has become something I genuinely care about...enough that I decided to turn it into my little business, Erie Glass ✨

I want to create pieces that feel meaningful. Something personal, intentional, and made with actual love behind it.

If you have an idea you've been wanting to bring to life - big or small, simple or detailed, I would love to create something perfect and tailored to your style, together.
