This is a sweet sourdough starter that is used in the cinnamon rolls at Anchored Vessel! Creating this starter is the first step in making cinnamon rolls. In this starter there is sourdough starter/discard, flour, water and SUGAR, which is why it's called a sweet starter. We use a sweet starter in cinnamon rolls so they don't have that extra sour or tangy taste like the sourdough bread.

I've been contemplating doing this Bible Study at our store. It is a 7 week long Bible Study. We would watch a video and discuss the work from the workbook each week. The workbook contains reading, journaling and questions for 5 days each week. Cost would just be the workbook. Who is in and what day/time works best? Was thinking maybe a Tuesday evening or a morning during the week?

Fresh mill flour has a lot of benefits and fun facts, but the one I'm realizing people don't recognize or know is that flour can actually have flavor or different taste. It's not all just white fluffy powder. If you ever try our sourdough cinnamon rolls and think they taste different or the texture is a little different, that's because they are made with flour that was milled right before the dough was mixed.
