It's been a WHILE since posting, but thought I'd jump on the page to show off what Dan (AKA my hubby) has been doing... He updated the entire www.ShraderlandDesigns.com website, added a help page with links to installation videos and (drum roll please...) created a page that fellow adventurers can use to choose outline and insert colors! So many people need the visuals with colors, myself included, so I hope this helps make choosing colors easier!

Shivering counts as exercise right? The only thing I’m starting up right now is my heater. Anyways… this Mini USA decal headed out with six sections to give the fellow adventurer options with colors. Random fact time… shivering can burn 100-400 calories an hour so eat all the donuts you want if you’re “exercising!”

These decals are bought mostly on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons… because those are the times when us are most likely to realize we pulled the wrong handle that wasn’t labeled correctly. Random fact time… there are 35 bathrooms in the White House.

My most popular single color option? You’re looking at it. White outline with red state inserts. My guess is because a lot of people have red accents on their motorcycles and this decal is super popular amongst riders. Am I a rider? Not yet. I still have a bum ankle from last year to show I’m not quite ready for a two-wheel motorized vehicle yet. Random fact time… The US Constitution has two different spellings for Pennsylvania, one with the correct double “nn” in the state name and one with just a single “n.” Both were acceptable at the time and the single “n” spelling of the state name is also on the Liberty Bell.

These are the two main color options available for my Adventure Trackers. How did these get picked? I had my two kiddos pick 2 crayons each way back in 2017 and those four colors were the bright color option. I then picked the four brown shades offered at the time and made them the neutral color option. Random fact time… At 4,543 words, the USA Constitution is the shortest written constitution of any major government. It’s also the oldest.

It’s 19°F in Canada‘s capital right now. That is ridiculously cold to this Florida gal! This decal is heading out to its new home today to a state that is nearly as cold as Canada, but not quite. Florida doesn’t know what it’s doing next week though because we’re expecting temperatures in the 20s🥶Random fact time… the coldest temperature ever recorded in North America was in the Yukon in 1947. At -81.4°F, wood and metal became brittle, exhaled breath turned to ice crystals, and exposed skin froze in under three minutes!

I realized I hadn’t posted a vinyl weeding video in a while… Thank you crazy holiday/business/young kids/school volunteering… So I thought I would start with a US and Canada decal. Well, I messed up and destroyed the outline. Then the second one the Cricut cut all wonky. Here’s hoping third time’s a charm. Mistakes are always a fun thing. Not. Random fact time… the phrase “third time’s a charm” is based on ideas that date back before the 1700’s. Some say that it is tied to the Holy Trinity. Others suggest it is from a policy that if you were hung three times and didn’t die, you were released.

The Polar Express is one of my favorite Christmas movies. Weeding out four mini USA Adventure Trackers at once? Not my favorite thing. Lesson learned and thank goodness the video is in fast forward to not catch any of my mistakes! Random fact time… there are three cities in the US named Santa Claus, one in Indiana, one in Georgia, and one in Arizona (although that one is now a ghost town).

Random fact time… the term Black Friday was coined by Philadelphia Police in the 1960s to describe the craziness of the day after Thanksgiving when the holiday shopping all started. The phrase wasn’t used in advertising until the 1980s, when businesses changed the meaning to their books being “in the black” after holiday sales began.

This is one of my favorite Adventure Trackers to create. West Virginia is such an interesting state shape-wise, being the only state with TWO panhandles, that it’s fun to make! Random fact time… West Virginia is the ONLY state to achieve statehood by presidential proclamation. President Abraham Lincoln signed the West Virginia Statehood Bill, along with his final Emancipation Proclamation (there were two), on January 1, 1863.
