Two weeks left to enter! Make a tiny quilt now!
We are accepting entries now for our fifth annual small scale quilt show in our Lake Oswego store. The show is open to all and every entry will be displayed. Your tiny quilt can be as big as 5” x 7” (smaller is OK too, but no larger). The quilt should have at least two layers of fabric, or fabric-like material. Other than that, the sky is the limit!

One entry per person please. Include the maker’s name, phone number, email, and a sentence or two about the quilt’s inspiration or techniques.

Hand deliver or mail to our Lake Oswego location: 429 1st St, Lake Oswego, OR 97034 by October 31st. Include a self addressed stamped envelope if you’d like your quilt returned at the end of the show (or let us know you’ll pick it up).

The show will be on display at our Lake Oswego store November 2nd-ish through the end of the year. There will be an opportunity for viewers to cast ballots for a Viewers’ Choice award. In addition, our crack team of judges will also be awarding tiny ribbons in a variety of categories.

Go Cowgirl is a different look for In The Beginning Fabrics and it is so darn cute! These fabrics would be great for a full-on western shirt, or just a Three Yard Quilt. 🧡💕

Good Morning everyone, unfortunately we have to cancel the Morning Sew this week. Aletha is out sick. Don't worry though, we will be back next week at our usual time, and until then everyone stay warm and healthy as we head into this fall season.

Irina Irina Robertson and Mai are so cute in their matching Sauvie sundresses from Sew House 7 ! They both chose to use Handloom cotton fabric by tara faughnan for windhamfabrics in the gorgeous Bayou color. Our Lake Oswego store has other luscious colors too (and we can be convinced to order other colors too if you ask). Irina added jewel-like embroideries in a tone on tone look with a Carmen Hernández 790 Ultra (using Shape Creator and 3-point Positioning) for even more fun!
