We got a call from our friends over in Gresham, OR. A large inlay that had gone bad, and they wanted our expertise to restore. The issue with most linoleum adhesives is that they aren't meant for inlays. You can do it, but the results will be as in the photos.
The adhesive doesn't cure hard. That's a problem, because vinyl linoleum is a living creature. It shrinks and expands with the temperature. Over time, the inlay will pull away from the surrounding linoleum and get real ugly fast.
That's where we come in, with over 30+ years of experience in the industry, we know exactly what we are doing. All that bad adhesive gets removed, the piece gets relayed with proper attention, all colorations/textures are matched, and the sheen is restored to original.
