It's been a minute since I last posted here. Life sometimes gets heavy and complicated, so I may not be on here as much as I would like for a bit. Today, I got to enjoy one of my favorite activities... antique flea market shopping! The treasure hunt is thrilling. Then you get home and look at all your treasures. Give them a light polish or cleaning. Oogle over their beauty just a little more, then organize to sell. This is batch #1 and includes a lovely sterling pink glass rosary, Juliana dragonfly brooch, various 1920's and 1950's pins, Native American copper enamel earrings, laurel burch earrings and of course a fave of mine... an embossed floral motif gold filled locket. My next post will feature the sterling and silver plated pretties from today. Check back! 👀

When I was a little girl, my grandma would come every winter from Michigan to visit my family in California. Each time, she would bring me gifts of jewelry. Often, she gave me trinkets with marcasites, and I was always mesmerized by the sparkle. She lived to be 98 years old and was a fashionable lady until the end. So when I see marcasite jewelry, it always makes me think of her and how special she made me feel as a child. These beautiful marcasite bracelets are now available in my cases at the antique mall.
