This is one of my favorite finds ever. This antique print hangs in my home and it was procured years ago on a day date adventure with my SO. It made us laugh so hard we had to buy it!
If you could give each of them thought bubbles what would they say??

A little New Britain & Hartford history right here!

Fabulous & Rare! Antique Columbia Family Scale made by Landers, Frary & Clark in New Britain, Connecticut in the early 1900’s This 24 lb. scale, with a unique green color and the perfect amount of rustic wear, was branded for Brown Thompson, Hartford CT. This scale was most likely sold by the department store.

Brown Thompson was originally a department store (and later a restaurant) located in downtown Hartford, that became G.Fox and Company. The building itself was originally named the Brown Thompson Building and later was renamed the Richardson after the noted American architect H.H. Richardson.
The building is now on the list of National Historic Places.
