Today We’re Spotlighting, Mila's Authentic Flavor
We asked her, what inspired you to start your business? And where did your journey begin?
🫔 “Food has always been tied to love, family, and community for me. I grew up around homemade meals and recipes that brought people together, and I wanted to create that same feeling for others. My journey really started in my own kitchen, cooking for family and friends, then slowly realizing people connected with the food and the care behind it. What began as sharing meals turned into building Mila’s, one plate and one customer at a time.”
What’s one of your favorite experiences along the way?
♥️” Honestly, some of my favorite moments are the simple ones — seeing people come back week after week, hearing that our food reminded them of home, or watching my kids be part of the journey with me. Doing markets and events and seeing the support from the community has been really emotional in the best way. It’s easy to feel like you’re “just cooking,” but then someone tells you your food made their hard week better, and that sticks with you.”
How has being a member at Kitchen Collective impacted your business?
👩🏽🍳 “Being part of Kitchen Collective has helped my business grow in ways I couldn’t have done alone. Having access to a professional kitchen gave me the opportunity to expand, but even more than that, the support and encouragement has meant everything. Julia and the community there truly want to see small businesses succeed. It’s given me confidence, opportunities, and connections that helped turn my passion into something real and sustainable.”
