Gloomy day but glad for the rain and for wonderful clients who let me actually make things for them. Trying to include more tactile and tangible things in my work. I’ve always been a block-printer and sew-er, so it comes pretty naturally to want to make textiles for my projects ;-). This block was designed, hand carved, printed on linen and stitched up for little café curtains in the kitchen.

Everybody deserves a back kitchen;). This little sh***un space adds so much functionality and storage to the main kitchen. On just one wall, there’s storage for pantry/food stuff, drinks, cookbooks, coffee, sink, plates/glasses, and a little self expression on a few open shelves. Dreamy. Happy Friday :)

It’s still so important for me to sketch/draw/color by hand. It really gets me into my head and the ideas I have in there - still such a special (and effective!) way to convey my ideas to clients. “Still” is the operative word here it turns out…. In a time when stuff is turned out in a split second without being fully thought out. I really love embracing the time it takes to make a sketch, draw a picture, color, create an artistic representation on a sheet of paper of what a space or a thing could look like. I’m a total tree hugger, but I’m also ok with wasting a little paper on keeping my profession an art ♥️

Nothing like a good shelf:). Sweet windowseat built-in at the Exeter project - perfect for lazing around, reading or staring out a window and then admiring all the special little trinkets you’ve collected so far. I did the custom shades and block-printed pillows.
