For those that follow my Instagram, sorry for the duplicate post haha.

But just wanted to share and show off a cute pair of Sock Monkey Socks!

It's been a while since I've done cuff-down socks, so things felt backwards for sure. Still not a fan haha, but glad it wasn't as much of a struggle this time around. However, doing a size 10 foot made the home stretch feel extra long to knit. All in all, they're fabulous, and hubby is happy! Nate wanted "nothing fancy" meaning no cables or texture. So a classic sock and playing with color is the best option.

I did do a classic 2x2 ribbing for the cuff to help the socks stay up. It's also my first time doing an "eye of partridge heel". It's supposed to be more reinforced, along with the 25% nylon within the wool base, but I'm not so sure. Theres things ill consider for nates socks down the road if he wears through them like his normal socks. So for now, only time will tell.

"Fuchsia is just a fancy word for purple" - Fancy Nancy

Now that its gifted, I get to share a special project I worked on recently! One of my good friends Jessie Yerby is expecting her first baby girl in late August and I couldn't be more excited for her and her hubby.

This project was totally different at the start and it was really the two yarn colors by Emma's Yarn - Simply Spectacular DK that really inspired this project and drove the pattern choice and design.

Part of the baby shower was to bring a book and with the romper created, I knew right away which book to pick!

I know Baby Girl Yerby is uniquely and wonderfully made. And I hope one day to meet this sweet, kind, (probably sassy ๐Ÿ˜‰) and of course, Fancy baby girl. You are adored by so many!

Yesterday was National Knit in Public Day! I hope my fellow crafters found a unique place to knit (or crochet) with their friends and be out in the community. I decided to go to one of my favorite Tea shops (Lizzy Kates Tea) and then enjoy the Kirkland waterfront. Naturally it didn't take too long for me to get some sunburns. Pictures of my completed project will be coming soon, as I still need to block and weave in ends.

We interrupt our normally posted content for a shout out to and her amazing embroidery kits.

Embroidery is a love of mine that has taken a back seat over the years and I had a renewed desire when working this cute piece for Jessica's shop.

Rosanna is a Washington native who curated these kits with all experience levels in mind. For beginners, stylish projects that bring you confidence as you learn the fundamentals. And intermediate projects for those who want to advance those skills and have fun with new designs.

All kits come complete with hoop, fabric base, threads, needles, pattern and washable tracing pen. Just grab your cutest scissors you hide from your husband and children ๐Ÿ˜‰ and be on your way!

This ain't your grandmas cross-stitch pattern, many of the embroidery kits have PNW inspired themes and modern patterns that make great gifts and special decorations.

You can check out the full selection on Rosanna Diggs website or stop at Jadawoo_designs to pick up a kit of your choice.

My latest cabled creation is such a fun spring project.
For those who find the idea of cabling too daunting or unfamiliar, this is a great piece to start as it teaches you the basics of chart reading, getting familiar with swapping stitches and how to know if their cable is left or right leaning. When I teach, this is a oppurtunity for students to choose to cable without a third needle by slipping your stitches around on your circular set.
I altered the beanie to have a very long ribbing as I was feeling that 2010 needed to come back with slouchy beanies and side - parted hair haha!

The Yarn: I worked with a new base of yarn from . This colorway is called Humble Bumble (named by yours truly!) And has a soft tonal variation of light, vibrant, happy yellows! This is my first time working with her 100% merino wool ANTI-PILL base. It creates such smooth and defined looking stitches and has a comfy bounce when worked up.

The Pattern: The Beeswax Set by Amy van de Laar
Patterns can be sold together or seperate. It is very well written with both charts and typed instructions. I have many more patterns saved from Amy's ravelry as she has great colorwork designs and nature inspired pieces!

The third piece to the set are fingerless gloves, those will join the party soon, but couldn't wait to show the hat and cowl off!

Welcoming my March Cable of the Month project officially on display at jadawoo_designs . Its such a beautiful celtic cable and the class to learn it is this week (March 13th!)

It is a special project because its my first time having one of my creations on display! Thank you to Jessica for being as excited as I was about this project coming to life.

I have a new deep love for Blue Savannah yarn by Kristin Milloway. The 'Meadow' colorway yarn is an amazing blend of Micron Merino wool, cashmere, and nylon. (80%/10%/10%.) Its beyond soft and has the perfect stretch from the nylon. One of the best garment yarns Ive have had the pleasure of working with. I have some leftover and am excited to add more of her yarn to my regular rotation.
Ps Kristin, if you see this and are needing test knitters or more samples, I would love to be considered to make those happen. ๐Ÿฅฐ
