It’s officially football season, so it’s time to make Cat Vomit Dip.

No, I will not be taking a poll on what to call this. My family named it decades ago and I’ve made peace with it. It’s not fancy, it’s not new, and it’s definitely not winning any beauty contests — but it disappears every single time I make it, so here we are.

The (very scientific) recipe:
1 lb Jimmy Dean sausage
1 brick cream cheese
1 can Ro-Tel (drained)

Brown the sausage, scraping up all those good crispy bits. Toss in the cream cheese and stir till melted. Add your drained Ro-Tel, stir, heat through. Eat with the chips of your choice. Done.

This reheats like a dream if you have leftovers, which if your family is anything like mine, the chances will be slim. Also this is 100% makes a great girl dinner, just sayin’. 🤷‍♀️

Canadian wildfires said “here’s some free ambiance” and now the lake looks like the opening credits of a horror movie. Windows shut and no AC… the dogs and I are trapped inside like hostages — but at least Mother Nature had the decency to keep it cool today. Silver linings, people!

After nearly 8 years, today was the last time Peachtree Street was open in Powell. Right now, I genuinely don't have the words, which, y'all know is saying something.

Thank you. For every visit, every purchase, every time you walked in just to say hi. For the regulars who became friends and the strangers who became regulars. You showed up for me, year after year, and I will never forget that.

Now, we are going to finish packing up this store, maybe shed a tear or two, then I'm running to the lake for some much needed down time. Will I actually rest? I mean, I'll be there physically, but my brain already has other plans and we all know it. lol

As for what's next. Honestly? I'm still figuring it out. But that's the thing about a next chapter: you don't have to have it all mapped out before you turn the page. What I do know is that you'll be the first to find out, because y'all know I'm taking you with me on whatever this next adventure looks like.

I wouldn't have it any other way.❤️
