Jiggy (2nd generation Girl Scout) and Aunt Sammi (3rd generation Girl Scout) are having lots of fun, adventures, and entrepreneurship with our 4th generation Girl Scouts, Mila and Madi!
Happy ! Juliette Gordon Low believed wholeheartedly in encouraging girls' entrepreneurial spirit. During her time in Scotland in 1910, Juliette helped her first Girl Guide patrol raise chickens and sell their eggs in the local community. Wanting them to be financially independent year-round, she also taught them how to spin wool after learning from the village's postmistress. Today, the Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the world, and more than half of American women in business are Girl Scout alumnae. Make sure to take time today to honor hard-working women across the globe who promote female entrepreneurship, past and present!
