The simple puzzle box designs are from 20 years ago. I made and sold boxes out of a shop in Oak Ridge and a shop in the Old City, Knoxville. I happened across about 40 of those boxes in my basement that just needed final sanding. It just seemed like a natural to add intarsia to boxes. The mechanical boxes were the next step. All of this just kind of happened from past and present interests.
