Our meeting are at the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of Euclid and Park Avenue East, Princeton the meeting starts at 6.30pm on the first Thursday of the month.

This Thursday December 7th is our Christmas Pot Luck the meeting starts stb6.30pm. Bring a dish to pass. We meet at the First Presbyterian Church, corner of Euclid and Park Avenue East, Princeton IL. Guests are welcome for a $5.00 fee.

Another successful Guild Retreat has come and gone. We had thirty-one quilters together for the weekend. The food was great and a lot of sewing was accomplished.

The plans have been made for the bus trip to the AQS Paducah Quilt Show. Departing from Princeton and Peru, Illinois.
Depart on Wed. April 18th and returning on Sat. April 21st, 2018.
We will be staying at Kenlake Resort State Park for three nights.
The cost is $250.00 per person for Covered Bridge Quilters Guild members and $260.00 for non-members per person double occupancy. This covers the three nights and the bus (show fees and food are additional).

CBQG will be having our annual Sewing Machine Cleaning on Friday October 20, 2017, at Princeton Public Library.
Please call the library to get your name on the list. You can drop off your machines on Thursday the 19th between 10am and 5pm, or Friday between 7am and 9am. Joe will start working on the machines at 9am and they can be picked up before 5pm.
The cleaning cost is $50 For a regular machine and $60 for computerized.

July 6th is our next meeting and it's our annual Salad Supper. Bring a salad to share and the table service and drinks will be provided.
Guests are welcome for $5, come meet our members and join us for a delicious dinner.

Thursday March 2nd is our guild meeting. Mark Fitzgerald owner of Classic Metal Company will be presenting a program on his metal quilt signs from 4 ft square to Christmas ornaments. Come see what he is making now.
Our meeting starts at 6:30pm at the Covenant Church in Princeton, Illinois.
Guests are welcome for a $5.00 fee.

We are planning a trip to Missouri Star Quilt Company in Hamlin, MO. Departing on Sun. Sept 18th and returning on Tue. Sept 20, 2016. The bus is departing Peru, IL at 12:30pm making a stop in Princeton, IL and in Annawan, IL. We will shop all day on Monday and return on Tuesday.

I'm sorry I haven't been on line for a while.
This Thursday Feb. 4th is our guild meeting. Amy Cavaness will be presenting a program on Memory Quilts from Clothing. Join us for a fun evening guests are welcome. $5.00 guest fee.
Then on Sat the 6th Amy Cavaness will be teaching a class from 9am to 4pm on making a Memory Quilt from Clothing and she will also be teaching us how to do photo transfering. The cost for the class is $25.00 for non-members.

Last night we had a very interesting program by Lisa Furleigh from Quilting in the Valley. She showed a lot of beautiful raw edge appliqué. We will be having a class on Saturday with Lisa to learn this new technique. With is new technique the more intricate pieces look like an oil painting from a distance.
