Making hangers. I use tinned copper wire to make my own “jump rings” with tails to secure into the solder.

Glass re-do right away this morning. Mistakes happen…but the good news is that we grain experience fixing them. Since glass mishaps can be painstaking to fix, I’ll store this nugget in my back pocket to be on the watch in the future. Orientation matters! 😂🤘❤️ happy creating friends!

Just a little snippet on how I like to cut my deep curves. There’s lots of different ways to do it and it really depends on the glass and the nature of the curve. Some glass is too expensive for me to mess around with so I’ll use my saw if I have any self doubt about breakage. It still happens from time to time. I’m no expert, but these tips certainly helped me get further along.

It came in! In my opinion, this is the best solder and the price is almost acceptable if you purchase in a qty of 5, at $27.95 each from Amazon. Not sure if anybody else here can find a better deal? If you do, please let us know!

Edit! This foil is NOT as good as Edco. It started peeling off when I was soldering (that doesn’t typically happen for me). Proceed with caution. I still think you’re better off with Edco.
————-

Usually, I use black backed Edco foil, but I was struggling to find it in the sizes I typically work with 7/32”, 3/16”, 5/32”. I found the sizes I needed at Anything In Stained Glass but the foil was made by TechniGlass…figured I’d give it a shot.

I’m happy to report that it works just as well. No problems. Currently, $7.75/roll, it is sold in lengths off 22 yards (Edco comes in 36yrds).

Grateful for this art, for the opportunity to gradually move into this “flow state” to feel natural and non-resistant as creation take form! There have been times when creating was like pulling teeth….times when my paint brush wouldn’t cooperate. That’s why I laid down my face painting business. Cause it’s not always easy to drop into a flow state and yet the birthday party must go on! And anything less than my best grieves my soul. Sometimes I speculate the muses are in charge of the flow…I think our job is just to remain open, show up and offer our hands to the universe🤲

Shout out to Magic M in the Crystal Garden for such a positive reading yesterday (considering some intensity in mid-November). I’m excited for all that is ahead!
