Thanks to all that joined us for our first Art Dock and Talk of 2026! With the turmoil happening in our state, it was healing to be with artists to talk about what we love - ART!!! After a fun opening contour drawing exercise, we shared projects and learnings, such as a hack for painting reflections (turn the painting 90 degrees) and how YouTube content works. One of the members brought her latest book, Shell Guide For the Shell Collector, filled with original photography, available on Amazon. We discussed perspective, favorite sources for framing art, crop art and more! Keep an eye out for next month’s meeting!

Come see the latest art exhibit at Club Prior!

The new exhibit features four local artists, including the hand-turned bowls and plates, birdhouses and wildlife photography by local woodworker and photographer Herb Lindsay. The multi-talented artist loves creating beautiful things – and it shows!

The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, is a collaboration between Prior Lake Art Dock and Club Prior, the City’s 55+ recreation and resource center. It’s our mission to showcase the amazing talent of local artists, so if you’re interested in having your work displayed, DM us and we’ll chat!

Club Prior is located within the public library building at 16210 Eagle Creek Ave SE. Hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm. (Federal holidays may affect these hours.)

Studies have shown that looking at art can enhance your well-being. And what’s better than beautiful artwork that’s easily accessible within your own city?

Prior Lake Art Dock is partnering with Club Prior, the City’s 55+ recreation and resource center, to showcase the amazing talent of local artists. Currently, visitors can immerse themselves in the work of four local artists, including beautiful oil paintings by Bill Sylvander. Pictured here are three of his pieces now on display: Reflections, Left Turn and Dream Zeasy (Ren & Stimpy).

Winter got you got you down? Take a break and immerse yourself in some wonderful art now on display at Club Prior!

We’re partnering with the City’s 55+ recreation and resource center to showcase the amazing talent of local artists. Among the new pieces that are now on display are these three lovely oil paintings by local artist Diane Backlund: Lone Tree, The Old Barn in Summer and Red Barn in Winter.

The art display, which is free and open to the public, is located within Club Prior at 16210 Eagle Creek Ave SE. Hours are 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday.

Come one come all!

There’s new art on display now at Club Prior! Showing here is Prior Lake's artist, Greta Mangulis’ oil paintings, My Cat Samantha and Sunset on Prior Lake.

The art exhibit, which is free and open to the public, is an on-going cooperative effort between Prior Lake Art Dock and Club Prior as a way to showcase the talent and creativity of area artists. Club Prior is a 55+ recreation and resource center located in the public library building at 16210 Eagle Creek Ave SE.

Did you know that Club Prior has a new art gallery? That’s right, the recreation and resource center for adults 55+ features local artists on a rotating basis! Come check out the latest exhibit featuring crop art by Maureen Sorensen, oil paintings by Peggy Brooks Bryant and watercolor and ink work by Viki Schultz.

This is a beautiful reflection of the diversity of style that art draws out in all of us, and when combined, creates an amazing tapestry!
Thank you everyone for your participation with the event during the Pleasant Street Art Walk!
A huge thank you to Lakeside Eats & Treats for hosting the community mural! Their hours are 12 - 8 during the week, 10 - 9 on Saturday, and 11 - 7 on Sunday.
The mural will be on display in the shop until Oct. 18Th!

All of us at Prior Lake Art Dock were thrilled with the amount of creative participation that took place at the Community Art Tent during this year's Pleasant Street Art Walk! Be sure to swing by and see your work on display at Lakeside Eats & Treats in downtown Prior Lake! The fish mural will be assembled and displayed soon, and will stay up through October 18th... don't miss it, and be sure to grab yourself a tasty treat while you're at it!

Prior Lake Art Dock is an exciting new venture focused on strengthening the local artist community and providing community access to locally crafted, original works of art.

Please, come visit us this Saturday the 27th of September at the 2025 Pleasant Street Art Walk to meet us and learn more - our booth will be located near the musical entertainment! New this year, we are also excited to invite artists of all ages to create with us in the Community Art Tent (located right behind our booth) and contribute to a finished project that will be displayed in town throughout the fall!
