DamWOOD DamWOOD makes heirloom artisanal wood crafted items. All wood is regionally sourced, saw-milled lumber. Hardware is hand made locally at a forge.

My focus is local, sustainable products and bringing out the natural beauty of the wood! All wood products are regionally source from sawmills and woodcutters and are cut from whole Timbers. Handles are made by members of the Duluth Forging Community. They are stainless steel and oil dipped for coloration. DAMwood Board Balm is used to treat all food contacts wood. It is a proprietary blend of natural waxes and raw linseed oil. A small container of of board balm comes with every board sold.

So I had a broken handle on one of my Stanley 750 chisels, and decided to put a new handle on. I had a piece of spalted pit bark maple I decided to use.

I used a natural stain followed by about 6 coats of lacquer. I think it turned out well!
