From Office to Speakeasy. 🥂

A transformation worth celebrating!

What was once a traditional office is now a sophisticated speakeasy-inspired retreat, designed for entertaining, unwinding, and enjoying every detail.

Terra’s vision for this space earned 2nd Place in the Residential Bar/Entertainment Space – Media Room category at the ASID Celebrating Design Texas Awards!

A beautiful reminder that with thoughtful design, a room can become so much more than its original purpose.

Designed to live beautifully. Designed to entertain. 🤍

You hired a great builder. Do you still need an interior designer?

Absolutely. And here’s why.

A great builder and a great designer bring different expertise to the same project.

Your builder focuses on bringing your home to life through construction. Your designer focuses on how that home will look, feel, and function for years to come.

From thoughtful space planning and material selections to lighting, finishes, furnishings, and the smallest details, every decision contributes to the bigger picture.

At RI Studio, we believe the most beautiful and successful homes happen when the builder and designer collaborate from the very beginning. 🤍

A beautiful bathroom should do more than look good—it should work beautifully, too.

Every detail in this space was considered with both form and function in mind. A floating vanity keeps the room feeling open, integrated lighting adds warmth exactly where it’s needed, and long sightlines create a sense of calm and spaciousness. Even the shower niche was thoughtfully placed to keep everyday essentials within reach without interrupting the design.

It’s these details—the ones you may not immediately notice—that make a space feel effortless.

Thoughtful planning. Beautiful ex*****on. A bathroom designed for the way you actually live.

THE DROP ZONE | Hidden in Plain Sight

The best design isn’t always the part you notice first—it’s the part that makes everyday life work better.

A thoughtfully placed drop zone gives all those grab-and-go essentials a home, while custom cabinetry keeps everything tucked away and the surrounding space feeling clean and intentional.

Because luxury isn’t just about how a home looks. It’s about how effortlessly it lives.

Beautiful. Functional. Thoughtfully designed. 🤍

Hidden in Plain Sight ✨

Some of the best design moments are the ones you don’t see coming.

Tucked seamlessly behind the kitchen cabinetry, this hidden working pantry keeps the everyday essentials out of sight—while giving them a beautifully designed space of their own.

It’s thoughtful details like this that make a home not only beautiful, but truly functional for the way you live.

Beautifully concealed. Intentionally designed. Completely functional.

WALLPAPER WEDNESDAY | DESIGNER EYE ✨

A powder room may be small, but through a designer’s eyes, it’s an opportunity to do something memorable.

It’s not just which wallpaper looks pretty. It’s thinking about scale, pattern, color, lighting, sightlines—and how every finish in the room will work together once it’s installed.

Terra walks us through the thought process behind this powder room and the details she considers before making a selection.

Because great design isn’t simply choosing what you love. It’s knowing why it works. 🤍

SEPTEMBER, RECAP ✨

September was one for the books at RI Studio.

From jobsite walk-throughs and thoughtful selections to projects continuing to take shape, this month was filled with the details, decisions and behind-the-scenes work that bring each design to life.

And a very special highlight — celebrating RI Studio’s wins at the ASID Celebrating Design Texas Awards! 🏆✨ We’re incredibly honored to have our work recognized alongside so many talented designers across Texas.

Behind every finished space are countless decisions — scale, function, finishes, color, texture and all of those little details that may go unnoticed, but make all the difference.

A month of progress, recognition and beautiful things in the works. 🤎

Here’s a little look back at September at RI Studio.

THROUGH HER EYES ✨

A little powder room sneak peek—through a designer’s eyes.

Where you might see an unfinished space, Terra is already seeing the whole story: the proportions, the lighting, the finishes, the layers, and all of those small details that will eventually make this room feel special.

That’s the value of having a designer involved from the beginning. Every decision is made with the finished space in mind—not just how something looks today, but how it will all come together in the end.

This little powder room is still in progress, but we already know it’s going to be a good one. 🤍

Stay tuned for the final reveal!

HOW A DESIGNER THINKS | The Selections 🤍

To most people, this looks like a table full of pretty samples.

To a designer, it’s the beginning of the entire room.

Terra isn’t choosing a countertop, tile, cabinet finish or hardware in isolation. She’s looking at how each material speaks to the next—undertones, texture, scale, contrast, warmth and how everything will look together once it’s installed.

Will the finishes compete or complement each other?
Does the space need more warmth? More contrast?
Will this choice still feel beautiful years from now?

This is where Terra’s experience comes in.

The magic isn’t finding one beautiful material. It’s knowing which combination of materials will create a beautiful, cohesive space.

That’s how a designer thinks.
