Wallpaper Wednesday and a little bit of William Morris!

Isn’t it amazing that this wallpaper, Fruit, first produced in 1864, can still seem so perfectly fresh? I’ve used this paper in several homes and it always looks different, yet wonderfully timeless.

I love the combinations of patterns in this dining room. The modern classic, Cat’s Paw rug by and the crewel embroidered fabric on the lampshade by on top of a mid century modern lamp base somehow seem meant for each other, at least in my mixing bowl.

Small Things Like This!

Change doesn’t always have to be so dramatic. In this case, my client, who lives in an adorable seaside cottage, had some amazing pieces, and the backdrop was already perfect. By changing out the rug to bright from dark and busy, replacing two very dated chairs, adding colorful pillows and introduce new, modern lamps, we created a completely updated look!
Next steps, wallpaper the entry foyer and powder room. Stay tuned!

I was back at this lovely home a few days ago, scheming about some new, thrilling projects. This recently finished attic has endless nooks for curling up with a book, play games with friends or start a new puzzle. There is something so special with built-in seating!

Happy Thursday!

Small change with big impact. We added the cool, graphic wallpaper to the sides of fireplace to create depth and interest. This home has unusual, rounded window and door frames that we wanted to give more attention and at the same time lift forward the stunning art.
