“You dream it, I’ll carve it.”

Ryan has a fairly direct approach to custom art. The tools are loud. The result can do the talking.

Have an idea for an original wood sculpture? A piece with personal meaning for your home? A carved focal point for a restaurant, bar, event venue, or golf clubhouse?

Let’s talk about making it.

At Old Growth Lumber Co., your commission starts with the idea, the wood, and the space it needs to fit. We’ll discuss the design, dimensions, finish, and what’s possible before the sawdust starts flying.

Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Pebble Beach, Big Sur, or planning a project farther afield—DM “CARVE” with:

• Your idea or inspiration photo
• Approximate size and where it will go
• Your location and ideal timeline

Prefer a piece that’s already finished? Ask to see available carvings.

Ryan heard “I love your work” and thought they meant his plumbing. Turns out, the chainsaw sculptures were getting noticed. 😂

Meet Ryan, our chainsaw carver at Old Growth Lumber Co. From the first rough cuts to the details you have to lean in to appreciate, this is wood sculpture made by a real person with a very loud set of tools.

Looking for original wood art for your home—or a gift that definitely won’t get lost in a drawer?

DM us “RYAN” for available finished carvings, photos, dimensions, and pricing. Have something personal in mind? Ask about commissioning a piece.

Based in Prunedale, Monterey County, with inspiration for homes and spaces across Carmel-by-the-Sea, Pebble Beach, and beyond.

We’re making a table. You’re mentally rearranging the living room. 🤝

A little epoxy, a lot of sanding, and wood grain that deserves its own close up.

At Old Growth Lumber Co., we create custom giant sequoia tables and handcrafted furniture built around your space. Choose your wood, stain, epoxy, and design; from a live edge dining table for your home to a statement piece for a restaurant, bar, or clubhouse.

For homeowners and interior designers in Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Pebble Beach, Big Sur, and beyond: let’s find the wood your project has been missing.

DM us “GRAIN” with your approximate table size and a photo of your space. We’ll help you explore the wood and design options.

Be honest: would you keep the epoxy clear and let the grain do the talking, or bring in some color?

Pulled up this morning and saw this beautiful red shouldered hawk perched on our 2200 year old piece of giant sequoia at the entrance to our property. Something about this image just stuck with me. Pretty incredible.
