Congratulations WSU interior design grad Susie Parsons

Three big reasons to celebrate! Well done Alaina, Jason and Susan! Alaina Bauer, a University of Kentucky graduate and interior designer in our healthcare studio, and Susie Parsons graduate of the WSU School of Design + Construction and interior designer in our senior living studio, have both earned their NCIDQ certification -- the globally recognized hallmark of a highly-qualified interior designer. IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter and ASID and NEWH have been working to re-start the interior design legislation conversation in Washington State. Our first joint effort (finally!) is this survey which I encourage all of you to take – it should take less than five minutes of your time. If you are a student, dealer, designer, educator, or rep in the interior design field, we want to hear from you. If you have more time, please add your suggestions how we should approach interior design legislation or advocacy on this side of the state. Here is the link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018waadvocacy

In the past, Eastern Washington was not part of the decision-making strategy for our legislative efforts in the state. This is something we can’t allow to happen again – we need a strategy that makes sense for us as well as Seattle. Let’s work to make our voice heard and help shape future advocacy efforts. Please feel free to forward this email to all your colleagues/friends who work in our field.

Take this survey powered by surveymonkey.com. Create your own surveys for free.

As a recent graduate of the interior design program at Washington State University I realized that there are a lot of things I wished I had known before starting design school. I wouldn’t change my choice of majors, but it would have been much less of a culture shock to have a bit of information b...
