Jack Vartanian (Owner)

Jack is a skilled potter and dedicated teacher originally from Rhode Island. He earned his BFA in Pottery from Roger Williams University, where he stayed on for two years to teach Pottery 1 and 2. Making functional and decorative pottery became Jack’s livelihood, while teaching pottery became his passion. He went on to own and operate the highly successful high-fire stonew

are studio, Potpourri Potters, in North Kingstown, RI. Before relocating to Punta Gorda, Jack managed the South County Art Association in Kingston, RI, where he oversaw the pottery studio and taught classes ranging from beginner to advanced. In 2006, Jack began teaching pottery at the Punta Gorda Visual Arts Center, and in 2010, he opened his own studio at 1080 Taylor Rd, Punta Gorda. Today, his studio hosts over a dozen resident potters and offers classes for all skill levels, sharing Jack’s expertise and passion with the community.
