On June 6, 1944, 57,500 American troops stepped from their landing craft onto the beaches of Normandy and into history.
Facing relentless enemy fire, rough seas, and almost certain danger, they pressed forward. Many would never return home. Their courage on D-Day helped turn the tide of World War II and secured the freedoms that generations have enjoyed ever since.
Today, we honor those brave men who stormed the beaches, scaled the cliffs, and sacrificed everything for a cause greater than themselves. Their valor, determination, and selfless service remain an enduring example of what it means to stand for freedom.
Freedom isn’t free. It was earned through the blood, sacrifice, and unwavering courage of heroes.
We remember them. We honor them. We will never forget.
