As another spring season comes to a close at Frericks Gardens, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the man who is truly the heart and backbone of this operation.
If you’ve visited Frericks Gardens, you’ve likely seen the beautiful flowers, hanging baskets, planters, and displays. What you may not see are the early mornings, late evenings, long days, and countless decisions that happen behind the scenes to make it all possible.
For months each year, he works from sunup to sundown—planting, watering, troubleshooting, growing, teaching, planning, and ensuring that every plant that leaves our greenhouse is something we’re proud to put our name on.
He never asks for recognition. In fact, he’d probably rather we didn’t post this at all. He doesn’t seek attention, accolades, or praise. He simply shows up every day and does the work because he loves what he does and cares deeply about this business and the people it serves.
His experience, dedication, knowledge, and leadership are the foundation of Frericks Gardens. Without him, there simply would not be a Frericks Gardens as you know it today.
So if you happen to see him around, take a moment to say thank you. Whether he’s walking through the greenhouses, checking crops, fixing equipment, or sharing his knowledge with the next generation, know that you’re looking at the man behind so much of what makes this place special.
We are incredibly grateful for all that he does.
