The God Moment

Heaven On Earth Photography began one Sunday morning while driving to church with my soon-to-be-hubby. Earlier that morning, I was reading the daily devotional for the day to Jared and I, which happened to be April 14 in Sarah Young’s “Jesus Calling”. A few lines jumped off the page at me and I read it again. The lines read, “As you walk along your life-path holding My hand, you are already in touch with the essence of heaven: nearness to Me. You can also find many hints of heaven along your pathway because the earth is radiantly alive with My Presence. Shimmering sunshine awakens your heart, gently reminding you of my brilliant Light. Birds and flowers, trees and skies evoke praises to My holy Name. Keep your eyes and ears fully open as you journey with Me.” At the time of reading this I wasn’t fully aware of it’s significance until later on. However, I did make it a goal for that day to point out everything beautiful I saw and recognize that it was a piece of heaven here on earth. Along the 40-ish mile journey to church I was provided many opportunities to do just that as it is a BEAUTIFUL drive. As we crossed the Red River the view was breathtaking and I was reminded of a photograph I had taken in the past of a sunset of this very river. And then the “God Moment” happened. (“God Moments” are what my fiance and I refer to undeniable words spoken from God directly to our ears.) God told me, “You have already photographed so many bits of heaven on earth. Now is the time to give your simple hobby a purpose. Use your photography to advance my Kingdom”. And in that moment “Heaven On Earth Photography” was created with the purpose of showcasing God’s beautiful creations and spreading the beauty to others through a small business and in turn dedicating 100% of the earnings to further God’s Kingdom on earth. It is my hope that through my photography, others come to known the beautiful, unending, love of the heavenly Daddy I know and love.
