State Fair entries back home safe and sound carrying a little extra decoration form the professional division of the visual arts competition. Both pastels took 1st place in their category and the pencil horse drawing took 3rd. What a nice surprise that was. They will now be offered for sale here at Prairie House.

Just as a reminder my painting friends. When the weather is humid like it has been let your acrylic paintings dry up to 4 weeks to dry before brush applying your isolation coats of varnish. If you spray you can get away with less. I waited two weeks for curing on mine (brushed) and it lifted the paint. I'm usually finishing in the winter when it is dry so caught me by surprise.
A new lesson learned.
