Dear Sandy Claws… 🎃

10/27/2026

In Mexico, many families observe October 27 as the day their beloved pets who have passed return to visit. They prepare an ofrenda with a photograph, fresh water, favorite food, and a treasured toy, welcoming them with the things that once made them feel at home.

We remember the paws that padded through our days, the greetings at the door, and the quiet comfort beside us. Their time with us may have been brief, but their love keeps shaping our lives.

This October 27, say their names. Tell their stories. Set a place for them in your home and in your heart.

Remembering someone you love can be sad and beautiful all at once. You miss them, then a story comes up and you find yourself laughing.

That’s what we love about Día de Mu***os. Bringing out their photographs, sharing those stories, and celebrating the life we got to be part of.

Putting together an ofrenda is its own act of love. Choosing a photograph, finding their favorite flowers, lighting a candle beside them. We thought of those small gestures when putting together our Ritual Sets, and the care that goes into making a space for someone you miss.
