There’s always something exciting about finding a beautiful piece at an even better price—and throughout October, we’ll be rolling out markdowns around the gallery in several phases.

We took a fresh look at each individual piece and adjusted pricing based on the item itself and how long it has been on our showroom floor. In many cases, that means reductions greater than our usual additional 10% markdown each eligible month, with some pieces now priced as much as 60% below their original asking price.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be featuring at least 10 especially good markdowns, but those are only a small sampling of what’s changing. Many more pieces are being reduced both in-store and online, so don’t stop shopping with just the items we highlight—you may find a great new price on something you’ve had your eye on.

These are pieces we still love, but with November shaping up to be an especially exciting month as Raleigh Furniture Gallery celebrates its 15th anniversary, we’re making a little extra room for some wonderful new arrivals. We’re hoping these new prices help some of our current favorites find the right homes before the celebration begins.

Keep checking back throughout October as more markdowns are added. Whether it’s a piece you’ve admired before, a great name-brand find at an especially attractive price, or something you simply weren’t expecting to see marked down, there are some incredible values throughout the gallery right now.

Oak furniture comes in all forms, but every so often, a few pieces really stand out. This week, we have a collection of particularly beautiful examples, from a professionally refinished dining set to a rare matching pair of antique court cupboards. Each has something special to offer, whether it’s exceptional craftsmanship, lovely detailing, or the kind of timeless presence that makes a room.

Oak has been used in furniture making for centuries, and for good reason. Its strength, durability, and distinctive grain made it a favorite for pieces intended to last for generations. The best examples showcase those qualities beautifully, and this week’s finds are certainly worth a closer look.

First up is a simply stunning oak dining room set. We see plenty of oak dining furniture, but this one truly caught our attention. The table and chairs are sold together, while the coordinating sideboard and small server are available separately. Professionally refinished by Mumford Restoration, whose work is known for its exceptional quality, the set has a beautiful, refreshed finish that highlights the natural character of the wood.

We also have an oak barrister bookcase, a classic form that continues to attract both our customers and antique enthusiasts. With its distinctive design and practical storage, it’s a wonderful example of antique furniture that remains as useful today as it was generations ago.

And finally, our court cupboards deserve a moment of their own. We have several beautiful examples, including two identical pieces—a particularly unusual find. Placed on either side of a fireplace or doorway, they could create the look of custom built-ins while bringing wonderful architectural character and a sense of history to the space.

These are the kinds of pieces that remind us what makes well-crafted antique furniture special: thoughtful design, enduring materials, and character that simply can’t be replicated.

Some pieces catch your eye right away. Others become more beautiful the longer you look at them. This week, we’re drawn to the details—the satinwood banding and elegant brass handles on an antique two-tier stand, the beautiful blue-green patina and hand-painted floral details on a set of four Neoclassical chairs, and all of those little touches that give a piece its character.

We’re also loving a bedroom set by Universal Furniture. Its transitional style makes it wonderfully versatile, while the generously sized dressers and nightstands offer the excellent storage that has been so popular lately. The beautiful burled finish and thin checkered inlay add another lovely detail, giving the clean-lined pieces a little more warmth and personality.

We especially love pieces like these because they don’t have to be used in a perfectly matched room. Pair the Universal set with antique lamps, a traditional chest, or contemporary artwork—or mix the Neoclassical chairs and antique stand into a room with more modern furnishings. It’s those combinations of old and new, simple and ornate, that make a room feel collected and personal.

This week, take a closer look at the details. Sometimes it’s the smallest touches that make a piece truly special.

We’re especially excited about this week’s lineup! We’ve had some truly wonderful pieces come through our doors recently, and this collection includes some of our favorite finds in quite a while. From beautiful seating and a versatile desk to a statement-making wardrobe and a brand-new handcrafted sofa, there’s a lot to love.

We have two pairs of Ethan Allen chairs, each offering a completely different look. One pair is upholstered in the most beautiful blue cut velvet on a soft gold background, creating a rich and elegant combination of color and texture. For a more stately feel, we also have a pair in a classic striped fabric. Both are beautiful, and we love the character and versatility they could bring to the right space.

We also have a handsome mahogany desk with black tooled leather and wonderful inlay details. With drawers on one side and faux drawers on the other, it’s a particularly versatile piece that can sit beautifully in the center of a room or even serve as a partner desk when needed. We love furniture that combines thoughtful functionality with beautiful craftsmanship, and this desk does just that.

One of the real standouts in this week’s collection is a stunning 19th-century, three-door wardrobe in flamed mahogany. The beautiful grain of the wood, along with its character and presence, makes this a piece that could easily inspire an entire room. There’s something special about finding furniture with enough personality to set the tone for a space, and this wardrobe certainly has that kind of appeal.

And finally, we have a brand-new sofa handcrafted by Hickory-Fry! With its versatile design and timeless appeal, it’s easy to imagine this piece working beautifully in a variety of spaces and styles. Whether your home leans traditional, transitional, or more contemporary, this is the kind of sofa that can fit right in while offering the quality craftsmanship we love.

We truly love this week’s selection and can’t wait for you to see these pieces! Stop by the gallery or browse our website to see what’s new. As always, thank you for shopping with us and supporting our small business!

Last week, we talked about some of the high-end names you’ll find here at the Gallery and why quality craftsmanship really does make a difference. This week, we’re continuing that conversation with a few pieces that are wonderful examples of quality in very different styles.

One of this week’s favorites is a contemporary Stickley sofa—a bit of a departure from the traditional and Mission-style Stickley pieces we’re more accustomed to seeing. Its clean lines, tufted back, and nailhead trim give it a timeless look, and the quality is something you can feel the moment you sit down.

We’re also featuring a classic customer favorite: the Rice Carved poster bed. This week’s is a Queen-size bed by Lexington, with the beautiful carved details and traditional silhouette that have made this style such an enduring favorite.

For the dining room, we have a beautiful set of Chippendale dining chairs that could complement so many different tables and interiors. We also have another La Barge mirror that would look stunning above a sideboard.

Different styles and different eras, but all pieces that demonstrate why good design and quality craftsmanship continue to stand out.

And if you need an excuse to escape the heat, hop in the car and come cool down with us in the Gallery! We’ll keep bringing you new and unique pieces that we think you’ll appreciate—and hopefully, a few that you’ll love.

There’s something special about a piece of furniture that has already stood the test of time. When it’s well made, beautifully designed, and built by a name you know, it doesn’t really matter whether it’s brand new—it just gets better with age.

That’s a big part of what we love about what we do at Raleigh Furniture Gallery. Quality, name-brand furniture has always been a bit of our bread and butter. We’re constantly on the lookout for pieces from makers like Baker, Henkel Harris, LaBarge, and Drexel—furniture that was made to last and still has plenty of life (and style!) left in it.

This week’s featured pieces are a perfect example. We have a beautifully flamed mahogany Baker king-size bed, a classic Henkel Harris bedroom suite with a full-size bed, a stunning LaBarge classical mirror, and a beautiful Drexel console table.

These are the kinds of pieces we love seeing come through our doors: familiar names, timeless designs, and quality you can feel. And perhaps the best part? You get to bring them home at a fraction of what comparable quality furniture can cost new.

Well-made furniture doesn’t have to be brand new to be worth having. Sometimes, the best pieces have already had a life—and are ready for the next one.

September is just around the corner, school is officially back in session for most, and summer is showing no signs of cooling off just yet! While we may not be quite ready for fall weather, there’s always something new happening around the gallery.

This week’s mix is a little bit of everything—and honestly, that’s one of our favorite things about the gallery. We have a couple of beautiful oil paintings, two Ethan Allen ottomans in a pretty gray fabric with contrasting white cording that gives them a wonderfully custom look, a few handsome dressers, and another desk (which have been surprisingly popular lately!). We also have a 10-foot-long runner that would make quite a statement in a long hallway, entryway, or anywhere that could use a little extra length and pattern.

There’s something about this time of year that makes us want to get organized and settled back into a routine, so perhaps that explains all the interest in desks lately. Whether you’re looking for a spot to tackle a little work, a beautiful piece of art to finish off a room, or simply something that catches your eye, there’s a good chance you’ll find it here.

No particular theme this week—just lots of good things to browse. And as always, you never quite know what you’ll find when you stop in!

Come see what’s new, stay cool, and enjoy these last few days of August with us.

See you at the gallery!

Dining sets have been flying out the doors lately, so we’ve been doing our best to keep up with the demand! Luckily, we have quite a few beautiful options in the gallery right now, and this week we’re featuring a few of our favorite new arrivals.

We have another Henkel Harris dining set, a beautiful Drexel table, and Hickory Chair dining chairs. Whether you’re looking for something traditional, something a little more unique, or simply trying to find the right set for your space, we have several great options available at different price points.

And, of course, it’s not all dining furniture this week!

We’re also featuring one of our favorite rugs currently in the gallery, and honestly…the colors are simply divine. It has plenty of color and personality, but the tones are just right so it doesn’t feel loud or overwhelming. It’s one of those rugs that can really pull a room together without taking over.

We also have a pair of antique corner cabinets that are pretty special. They’re lighted, have beautiful wavy glass, and having two of these rare cabinets together is such a treat. We can picture them in so many different rooms, but we especially love the idea of using them in a dining room to show off your favorite china, glassware, or collected pieces.

We hope you love this week’s selection as much as we do!

And we want to know — what would you like to see us bring in next? We’re always listening to what our customers are looking for and doing our best to keep the gallery stocked with things you actually want to find. So tell us — what’s on your wish list?

We’re excited to announce that we just went through the entire gallery — both in-store and online — and gave everything a fresh look with markdowns!

If there’s been an item you’ve had your eye on, now is definitely the time to take another look. You may be pleasantly surprised to see that the piece you’ve been thinking about has a brand-new price!

We’ve pulled together a selection of some of our very best deals to give you a head start. There are some incredible pieces included, as well as a few that we simply can’t believe are still here. From furniture we’ve loved from the moment it arrived to those special pieces that seem to have just been waiting for the right person to find them, there are some really good opportunities in this round of markdowns.

And, of course, markdowns mean they won’t last forever. If something catches your eye, we’d recommend taking advantage of the new price sooner rather than later. You never know when someone else might walk in and decide it’s exactly what they’ve been looking for.

Take a look at a few of our favorite deals below — and then head over to the website to see more of the newly marked-down pieces!
