A quick update on the 14th Annual Self Portrait Contest 🎨

Due to an issue with the voting platform over the weekend, outside of our control, we've decided to extend the voting period by one week to make sure everyone has plenty of time to participate!

Voting will now close on June 26, and our semifinalist announcement will take place on July 3.

Meet Bean, the newest (and fluffiest) member of the team 🐈‍⬛🎨

This week's color match started with Michaela trying to paint a black kitten.

The problem is Bean isn't just black. Bean is Bean.

Using Tusc & Pine Oils, Michaela worked up a warm black to match his coat while he remained committed to being a moving target.

Michaela is taking on nature’s deepest jewel tones today! 💜 She is out at Atlantic Gardening Center putting the SoHo Watercolor Set of 24 to work against a stunning batch of blue-purple petunias. Instead of diluting the pigments with too much water, she keeps the mixture concentrated to mimic the velvety intensity of the petals. By layering Violet, Hyacinth Violet, and Paynes Gray, she captures that perfect garden hue!
