I finally finished the blanket I started 2 years ago lol Made for my granddaughter.
She chose the colors, the pattern and the border. She was quite specific!
It’s safe to say, she loves it! 🥰

The body of the blanket is a cluster V stitch and the border is a round of SC, followed by a round of DC. Then she decided it needed more! So I added a shell stitch round done in the blue, followed by a round of SC in the plum color using a hook one size up (6.50mm).

That’s one WIP down….20 more or so to go! 🤣

Saturday is finally here again!
And spring is definitely on its way! 💐
After the foot of snow we got last weekend, I am happy to welcome spring, warm temps and melting snow!

This is another scrapghan I finished a few days ago. It only took me about 4 days to complete. I hand picked all the colors rather than just randomly adding and stuck with just the 12 colors I picked.

This is made of my favorite, granny squares, joined with a dark coffee brown. I used an I (5.50mm) hook.
All of it, including the dark brown, was left overs and yarn I already had.

I loved making granny squares so much I have already started another one using just pastels.

I have been in a “Star” blanket mood the last few years. 12 point star, 5 point star, you name it. I have made several of them and I still enjoy them so much!
This one tho….has to be among my favorites! the color transitions in this mandala cake are amazing! This is the color Valkyrie.
Have any of you used this color for a project? I would love to see how it looks on another type of pattern.

The weekend is here and we are receiving a severe winter storm with lots of snow ❄️ today, tonight, into tomorrow so I thought it appropriate to post and scarf and fingerless gloves lol

It's Saturday and a fresh start awaits! I had so much fun thrifting this morning 🥰 and now it's time to tackle my ever-growing list of WIPs - 15 projects are calling my name.
My goal is to wrap up these unfinished projects before diving into new ones, and I'm determined to make it happen.

This cluster V stitch piece, started a couple of years ago with my granddaughter's chosen colors, is next on the list.
I’m using Big Twist yarn in Grape, purple, magenta and Caron one pounder in Royalty. I used an I (5.50mm) hook
I'm eager to finish it and move on to that sunshine-inspired yellow one.

I finally finished the waffle stitch I’ve been working on and I must say I am very pleased with it!

I used Big Twist in Sky Blue for the main body of the blanket. And also a color called Sky Blue for the border, but in a vintage yarn by the name of Kolor Match. It’s a very soft and easy to work with yarn. I think the two “sky’s” blended well 😉
