Welcome to Stevie Nichol Interiors! Here's some information about me...
I have had a passion for interior design since I was a child redecorating my bedroom at every chance. Not only does it come natural to me, it also combines my favorite things – creativity and beauty, problem solving and psychology, and making memories with loved ones. I love transforming a space to create the perfect balance
of functionality, comfort, and beauty all while taking into account the psychological effect of design. The end result being a home that truly represents the Client’s lifestyle in a beautiful and efficient way- a home to create memories for years to come. As a Southern California native, I made the decision to attend the renowned Design Institute of San Diego where I earned my BFA in Interior Design. After more than a decade of experience working in the field, I decided to branch out and pursue my dream of starting my own design firm, creating Stevie Nichol Interiors. When I’m not designing my Client’s homes, I enjoy adventures with my husband whom I met in middle school. Some of our undertakings have included skydiving (sevral times), hiking a 5,633 foot volcano in Bali, whitewater rafting, camping, and kayaking in the ocean! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoy yoga when I actually make the time to practice. I have been fortunate enough to work with some pretty amazing clients and enjoy getting to know each one through the design process. You can read some of their kind words on my Testimonials Page. Each project is unique and there is nothing more rewarding than designing a home for someone that adds to their quality of life- both aesthetically and practically. I would love to help you create your dream home, too! EXPERIENCE
In 2008, I earned my BFA in Interior Design at The Design Institute of San Diego thru their nationally accredited four-year program. I gained invaluable insight into the field and even had the opportunity to acquire real world experience through an internship. Connecting with experts in the industry played a critical role in transitioning my knowledge to the professional world and enhancing my skills. After receiving my degree, I returned to Los Angeles and immediately began my professional career working in the field. In 2013, I decided to further my professional career by taking the IDEX Exam and became a Certified Interior Designer- trained to the highest standards of education, experience, and ethics. I am grateful to have over a decade of experience in the field, working with some of the area’s most respected design firms including: CASA|WASY, SYI Design, Talianko Design Group, and Lee Mink & Associates. Working with different designers allowed me to gain insight into the variety of approaches used to manage a design firm and helped me form a unique approach to grow my own business.
