Cigar Tin with (700)+ Early Date Wheat Pennies - $150
A vintage Philadelphia Phillies cigar tin with over 5 lbs. of early date Wheat Pennies. I scanned through them and did not see anything from the 40’s or 50’s save for the occasional 1943 steel penny. All teens, twenties, and thirties. I even saw a couple of Indian Head Pennies in the group. By weight I’m estimating that there’s well over 700 pennies in the lot. The Stone Mountain Memorial 90% silver half dollar was an American fifty-cent piece coin struck in 1925 at the Philadelphia Mint. Its main purpose was to raise money on behalf of the Stone Mountain Confederate Monumental Association for the Stone Mountain Memorial near Atlanta, Georgia, depicting three Confederate figures of the Civil War, President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. 1951 50C Washington-Carver Silver Half Dollar - $50
The U.S. Mint produced the George Washington Carver-Booker T. Washington Half Dollar from 1951 to 1954. This 90% silver 50C piece commemorated the lives of two leading figures in African American education. George Washington Carver an agricultural scientist and educator, and Booker T. Washington, founder of the Tuskegee Institute. The coin was the last commemorative coin made by the Mint until the modern Commemorative Coin Program began in 1982. A Dansco #7171 Morgan Silver Dollar Date Set coin album with 32-ports for the years 1878 to 1921, including some for Mint Marks. It’s in great condition. I can’t tell if it’s ever been used or not.
