In preparation for America's 200th Birthday, the U.S. Mints began producing Bicentennial Quarters, Half Dollars, and Dollars in 1975 that were dated 1976. Proof versions of these patriotic designs were included in 1975 Proof Sets, helping to boost sales by over 200,000 units. Each set contained six coins: One each of the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, and Roosevelt Dime, with bicentennial versions of the Washington “Drummer Boy” Quarter, Kennedy Half Dollar, and the ever-popular Bicentennial “Ike” Dollar. A Lincoln Penny album with (190) Lincoln Memorial and Wheat Cents. Includes the first-year variety 1909 V.D.B. with the designers’ initials between the two wheat stalks, and all three 1943 Steel Cents from World War II. Please note that in the pictures the 1909 V.D.B. is in the 1909-S slot by accident. There is no 1909-S in the book. The album itself is older, from 1959, but in good condition for it’s age with some writing in it from the original collector. I meet at the Food Lion in Randleman, NC if interested.
