MASSIVE STORMS WILL NOT STOP MARSHALLTOWN SPEEDWAY, IOWA

After the severe storm damages incurred, the fair board and The Marshalltown Speedway team have pulled together to overcome what seemed to be a nearly impossible & disheartening result, forcing a race season to end. Only missing one Friday race event last Friday, we are proud to be announcing that we will race this coming Friday in the typical Marshalltown Speedway great style and fashion. Through many hours of determination and teamwork we have assembled a solid plan for the running of our last 6 season events. Fans and competitors will be very pleased with what they will see this Friday and for the balance of the racing season events here at Marshalltown Speedway. We have contracted with RPM1 / Racing Performance Manufacturing of North Carolina utilizing their LED sports lighting division to develop a comprehensive emergency race event plan. We also have our facility repairs planned for updating the lighting, poles, & components destroyed in the recent storm.

Interviewed on Monday President & Founder Alton McBride Jr. shared “We have worked ALL weekend on the logistics to pull this off for and with the great people of Marshalltown Speedway Iowa. None of this could happen without the alliance and like minds of two great American Companies RPM1 and BOSS LTG. Look, this is our company passion and mission. We are ALL short track racers and motorsports industry professionals who have spent our lives in this sport. We set out in 2009 to chase our dream of revitalizing and helping short track racing survive and re-learn to flourish upon forming this sports lighting company. We will continue this effort for the next decade and we will improve and help our short tracks and grassroots facilities. Part of achieving a better world for our grassroots racing facilities nationwide in all forms of motorsports is simply to be available to help. When Adam from Park / Jefferson Speedway contacted me and said that RPM1 needed to assist Toby from Marshalltown Speedway due to the devastating hit from the storm. We soon received the call and The RPM1 Team went to work.”

The official plan is as follows. RPM1 (with the strategic partnership alliance with BOSS LTG) is currently loading a semi truck in Baton Rouge, LA with 2 BOSS LTG stadium emergency light tower rigs. These can be seen in the video below in full operation. This will place 32 total stadium sports lights in action to replace the approximate 26 lost in the storm.

From there, RPM1 is working a dual work load the immediate emergency for Friday nights event but also the game plan to replace and install the New updated Marshalltown Speedway Lighting system.

Interviewed Monday Kaitlyn Hunt, National Sales Specialist with RPM1 said “This is a big deal. WE are excited to be able to be a small but key factor in putting racing back on track for Friday's big event. It has been a very difficult year for all event based venues BUT we are pleased to do this deal. It makes me feel accomplished to be a part of RPM1 and Marshalltown Speedway's coming continued great racing events.

Marshalltown Speedway will have a BOSS LTG / RPM1 team representative technician onsite for the entire event Friday. Mr. Chambers of BOSS LTG / We are committed to a smooth show Friday. The storm put you guys through hell. We look forward to Friday's racing!
