I am a 46 year old Mom of 2 little ones who was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease in Feb 2021. I turned to crafting as a form of distraction and fell in love with it! I started out making gifts for friends and family and after a few of them asked if they could purchase some of my crafts to give to others, I decided to try my hand at some craft shows and open an online shop. Along with the enjo

yment and sense of satisfaction I get from crafting, I use this as an opportunity to spread awareness of Pompe Disease. It took around 20 years for me to get properly diagnosed, which is not uncommon. Since Pompe is progressive and without a cure, shortening the time to diagnosis is critical.
