Sometimes a piece of art just finds its person. 🥹

At my last show, two best friends were walking by my booth when something caught their eye and stopped them in their tracks. They came over, and let me tell you, their best friend energy was AMAZING! 😂 It made the whole interaction even better because my own BFF had come up to help me with the show, so we were all on the same wavelength!

One of the ladies had fallen in love with my snake artwork. As we got to talking, she told me she'd always wanted a snake, but her best friend (who also happens to be her roommate!) was scared of them.

The funny part? Earlier that very day, I had been looking at that exact piece and joking that the colors were a little on the girly side and that I just needed the right snake-loving girl to come along and take it home.

And there she was. 🐍💕

She absolutely loved it, but wasn't sure about taking it home because she didn't have much room in her apartment.

I could tell how much that piece meant to her, though, so I made her an offer. Because sometimes you just know when a piece is meant for someone.

And just like that, she got to take home the snake she'd always wanted, without her roommate having to worry about a real one slithering around their apartment! 😂

These are the moments I love most about doing shows. Yes, I create artwork to sell, but there's something so special about watching someone connect with a piece you've made.

Sometimes it's not about finding someone to buy the art. It's about the art finding the person it was meant for. ❤️

Do you all think I should be signing my artwork?! ✍️🤔

At my last event, I had a couple of people ask me to sign their pieces and I've had others tell me I should be signing my work all along.

But I have mixed feelings about it! 🙃

On one hand, I love the clean look of my artwork and don't necessarily want to add anything that takes away from the design.

On the other hand, I know an artist's signature can make a piece feel even more special and personal.

Then there's the fact that my actual name isn't necessarily connected to Bear's Wild Creations. If someone looked up my signature, would they even find me? 🤷‍♀️

I do stamp the back of every piece with my business name and information, so there's always a way to find the artist behind it.

But maybe I'm overthinking this, and I should have been signing my artwork all along! 😅

I'm curious what YOU think! Would you prefer an original piece of artwork to be signed by the artist or do you like the clean, unsigned look?

And if you think I should sign them… is front ok? Should I maybe just sign "Bear" or do I sign my actual name? 👀 Thanks for going down this rabbit hole with me. 😂

One of the special things about shopping my available artwork is that what you see is EXACTLY what you get! ❤️

Since I work with real feathers, every piece has its own unique colors, patterns, and natural iridescence. No two will ever be exactly alike!

As I head into the holiday season, I'll be focusing on made-to-order artwork, so this may be your last chance for a while to choose a piece where you can see the exact feathers before purchasing.

And speaking of the holidays… 🎄

Now is a great time to get a head start on finding a truly unique gift for someone special! Or maybe you've had your eye on a piece for yourself. I fully support that, too. 🫶

🛍️ HOW TO CLAIM YOUR ARTWORK:

1. Comment SOLD under the photo of the artwork you'd like to purchase.

2. Send me a private message with your email address and shipping address (or let me know if you'd prefer local pickup in Rhinelander). Bonus if you send screenshots of the pieces you want.

3. I'll send you the total and payment information.

⏰ Payment is due within 24 hours of receiving your payment information. If payment isn't received, the artwork will become available again.

📦 SHIPPING:
• 1–2 pieces: approximately $7
• 3+ pieces: approximately $12–$15
• Final shipping depends on artwork sizes. Local pickup is available!

It's not this fox… so what other common animal do you think got fuzzified for tomorrow's available artwork post?! 😏

The fox was actually my first design to get the fuzzy treatment, but I can't take credit for the idea!

During one of my feather art workshops, a young boy used the fluffy parts of the feathers on his wolf to make it look soft and furry. I loved what he came up with and decided to try it on the white areas of my fox!

Since then, I've fuzzified Sasquatch and now one more mystery creature… 😄

Any guesses?! 👀
