Restoring a Stanley #4 -Type 19 (1954-64) Bench Plane
I love my table saw and planer and clean them often….but I LOVE hand planes and taking rough mill lumber to a flat board but most of all… those shavings! 20$ fb mkt place in in Jan and hardly used for a couple months. My first hand plane and first restiration.

This board says a lot of you know the wood. It’s my first real attempt to create something artistic even tho similar to one I saw. symbolizes knowledge, clarity, healing, -from Greek myth to Mary (yup her)it’s good fortune, new beginnings, revival of life, love and fertility, -amplification , focus, divination, strength, and heals problems in the blood, - wisdom, wealth, discernment and black walnut bark contains Tannins, which reduces pain&swelling and can dry up body fluids like mucus. I wish I had made the bloodwood 1/2” instead of 1/4” but it’s still a pretty board imo.
