Anybody else just not in the mood to decorate for Halloween this year? I don’t know what it is bc usually it brings me so much joy but this year, I’m just not having it. So here’s my decor from last year. Are you decorating for Halloween?

Was finally able to come home and upload the pics I took today at our Warthen project. This is Taylor’s home. If you’re a designer and you’ve designed your own home, you know how hard it is. I gave Taylor a big hug in her half done kitchen. The last 10% of a huge reno often feels like death by a thousand cuts. Hoping she sees these photos I took today and is able to see her home through my eyes. It’s absolutely stunning and I couldn’t be more proud of the work she has put into it 🤍 hold on sis, we’re almost there!

You can have all the panel ready appliances, the fixtures, the stone, the lighting, etc.

But the thing that makes a home feel truly custom will always be the architecture.

Millwork is designed specifically for the house. The proportions, paneling, built-ins, transitions, sightlines, trim details. Every inch has to be considered and drawn for that exact space (and the math behind it makes our heads hurt just thinking about it).

But it’s permanent. It becomes part of the house rather than something added to it.

Its impact is wildly underestimated!
