Making A Cork Wallet: Kendra- Fri 9/25 9am-noon - Kendra Cork Wallet

Learn how to make this flat multi pocketed wallet with cash slot and zippered change compartment. This wallet is a great way to learn how to make card pockets and a great jumping off point for new designs. This is an easy introduction class to working with cork! Cork has a similar feel to leather or vinyl, but it's much easier to cut and sew with. Don’t miss this great project!

Expand your skills and try something new! Join Kellie Gedert for Cyanotype: Sun Printing on Fabric and Paper- Fri 9/25 1-4pm

Students will learn how to create prints using Cyanotype fabrics in different tones using UV lights and explore ways to personalize the fabrics for future projects. Cyanotypes are one of the first forms of sun-print photography and, in my opinion, the most magical. Cyanotypes ask us to pause and look closer at those everyday things differently and up close, capturing those finite little details.

This course will cover:
-The History & basics of Cyanotypes
-How to use basic set ups for indoor and outdoor photography without a darkroom.
-Fun ways to document old photos or garden plants using Cyanotypes.

Alice Ridge will be joining our teaching faculty for 2026! Choose from four wonderful classes!

-Sashiko and Boro- Thurs 9/24 9am-noon- Sashiko and Boro are different styles of Japanese Needlework. This class will show examples both traditional and contemporary designs. This is a Handwork Class This class requires a kit that will have all the supplies needed to make 3 pieces, Traditional Sashiko, Contemporary Sashiko and Boro Stitching You will only need to bring general hand stitching items such as small sharp scissors, thimble, or any other hand sewing item that you like to use.

-Hawaiian Applique- Thurs 9/24 1-4pm- Join me in an introductory class on traditional Hawaiian Applique. This is a handwork class. Many different designs will be available so that you can choose the one that suits you best, either simple or complex!

-Mock Molas- Fri 9/25 9am-noon- Have you looked at the beautiful Molas from Panama and gone green with envy ? I have! I love the look of Traditional Molas, with all the layers of colored fabrics and fancy stitches ! I thought that I would make one myself, but then really turned green when I realized how much detail work and teeny tiny stitches were involved ! So, I created this class to modify the Traditional Mola by using Felt to make a project that keeps the style and colors of the original, but is so much easier and faster! This is a hand work class, but it is easy and relaxing to do.

-Pojagi- Traditional Korean Needlework - Sat 9/26 9am-4pm- Pojagi is an Ancient type of needlework from Korea. I will bring many different pieces for everyone to look at. Typically the pieces are made from either Silk, or Raime (a plant fiber), and were originally used as utilitarian wrapping cloths. Today, Pojagi is an Artwork all its own with designs ranging from simple to intricate. In this class we will make two Projects in the style of Pojagi, a Pincushion in Silk , and a small mat using Korean Raime. All Supplies for both projects are included in the Class Kit. Participants only need to bring general hand sewing supplies, ie – thimble, small scissors, etc.

Sign up for classes beginning Saturday 4/4 at 10am.
